Security Threat Dashboard

Project Overview

With the advent of Wikileaks and increased hacking of confidential corporate information by various malicious groups, there was a need for our customers to quickly identify, isolate and remove security malware threats on their organization's networks through the Websense Web Security management web app. The challenge was to create a high level dashboard visualization showing real-time/historical attacks and trends, then communicate specific details about the sources and means of the attack to help security administrators triage the attacks.

Contributions

• Participated in customer interviews and survey creation to discover and develop requirements
• Coordinated with a team of several other designers to brainstorm visualizations 
• Developed high level use cases for the dashboard and the user interaction workflow
• Created low-fidelity mockups and high-fidelity interactive wireframes detailing the user experience
• Reviewed the final implementation with development to ensure quality
